Spurs after Euro 2012 star Alan Dzagoev, says Russian striker's dad
Alan Dzagoev's father named Tottenham as the main club interested in poaching his son from CSKA Moscow, and the forward could be one of Andre Villas-Boas' first signings as Spurs manager.
Dzagoev was one of the early stars of Euro 2012 before his native Russia were knocked out at the end of the group stages.
The playmaker is thought to be keen to make a move to Europe's very best leagues and is being watched closely by Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid.
But it is Tottenham Hotspur who are the main club in the frame according to Alan's father, who said: 'I don't know if he will stay at CSkA. There are offers – from Spurs and other foreign clubs.
'But I tell him not to hurry. Yury Zhirkov ran off to Chelsea and sat on the bench.'
The 22-year-old was expected to become a free agent at the end of the year but secretly secured an extra year at the Moscow club.
Dzagoev scored three goals during Russia's brief stint in Euro 2012 and also impressed during qualifying rounds.
If he does move to White Hart Lane, the striker may well be under the charge of Andre Villas-Boas, who is expected to be revealed as Tottenham's new manager later this week.
