Mario Balotelli's post-goal celebration becomes a global hit

It's ironic that a bloke who says he doesn't celebrate goals has created a post-goal celebration that has become a world wide phenomenon.

Italy striker Mario Balotelli famously quipped recently that "when I score, I don't celebrate because I'm only doing my job. When a postman delivers letters, does he celebrate?"

But thanks to his famous statuesque pose after scoring against Germany in Italy's Euro 2012 semi-final, it looks like the enigmatic No.9 has created a global craze.

Showing that imitation is the greatest form of flattery, Balotelli's pose was re-enacted in Japan, in a J-League clash between Vissel Kobe Kawasaki Frontale.

Watch the video at the top of the page as Ken Tokura scores a cracking goal before chanelling his inner Balotelli.

Doing 'The Balotelli' can mean a number of things. For now, scoring a cracking goal and giving away a yellow card to show off that Adonis-like body. That's doing 'The Balotelli'.
