Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly ended their interest in re-signing Lúcio due to their former player's wage expectations.
The 34-year-old defender made 92 appearances for Leverkusen, over the course of three seasons, before joining Munich in 2004.
He is currently a free agent after mutually agreeing to terminate his remaining two year contract with Inter.
According to Kicker, Leverkusen quickly discovered that they were not in a position to bring Lúcio back to the BayArena due to his high salary demands.
The veteran centre-back has recently been linked with a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce but it is now being reported that he is on the verge of joining Serie A champions Juventus.
