COULD TERRY AND LAMPARD LEAVE CHELSEA?

The Mirror is reporting that cashed-up French club Paris St Germain are trying to pry John Terry away from Chelsea.

PSG, who are now backed by the Qatari government, are on a mission use their new funds to sign up several big-name stars ahead of their Champions League campaign next season.

PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti, who was Terry’s boss during the Italian’s time at Chelsea, was frustrated when a play for AC Milan’s Brazil defender Thiago Silva fell through and is now on the lookout for a new centre defender.

And while it would take a lot to get Terry to leave Stamford Bridge, his impending court trial, where he’ll face charges of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand, means he could be looking for an escape from the media scrutiny he faces in England.

Pressed on the possibility of the move becoming reality, PSG sporting director Leonardo said: "John Terry is very close to Ancelotti. But that is all."

The Daily Mail is linking another Chelsea stalwart, Frank Lampard, with a move to American side LA Galaxy, to join his long-time England teammate David Beckham.

The Galaxy are aiming to put together an offer that Lampard would find difficult to refuse – although it would need to approach record levels, as the 34-year-old midfielder still has a year left on his £130,000-a-week contract and will receive a hefty loyalty bonus if he plays out the final year of the deal.
